Passports & Notary

PASSPORTS

We are proud to announce that Calhoun County Library is now accepting passport applications. Applications are taken by appointments only. Patrons can call the library for information (803-874-3389). Patrons can also checkout travel.state.gov for fees and forms. Our location does not do photos, but you can go to Wal-Mart, Walgreens or CVS to purchase your photos. Some of the items you will need is your long form birth certificate with the state seal, official photo ID, passport photos.

Application Fee and any Additional Services Fees:

Checks (personal, certified, cashier's, traveler's) and money orders payable to "U.S. Department of State"
Credit and debit cards CANNOT be accepted

$35 Execution (Acceptance) Fee Paid Separately:

Money orders at all locations, payable as instructed by the facility
Personal checks and cash
Credit cards.
Note: the facility may add a surcharge to cover the cost of a credit card transaction.

*Please verify acceptable payment methods with the acceptance facility ahead of time.

NOTARY SERVICES

The Calhoun County Library has 2 notaries on staff. It is better to call ahead at 803-874-3389 to make an appointment to make sure there is one available. This is a free service to the public. Please don’t sign the form to be notarized until you are in front of the notary. Make sure you have your official ID when you come.

The Library has many digital resources that are available to patrons with library cards, such as books, audiobooks, language lessons, and computer coding lessons. During the closure. Calhoun County residents that do not currently have a library card may request a Library eCard.
